BIOGRAPHY
Katie Weiand has been teaching at Lancaster Bible College since 2010. She received her Master of Music in opera performance from The Boston Conservatory. She has performed several roles with the Boston Lyric Opera and has toured internationally performing operatic roles in Austria and Italy. She is an active performer of Broadway and Contemporary Christian repertoire and is the founder of the Wieand Vocal Studio. Katie has also recorded as a studio vocalist for Gaylord Entertainment in Nashville, TN. Favorite operatic roles: La Boheme (Musetta), Miss Havisham’s Wedding Night (Miss Havisham), Suor Angelica (Suor Angelica), La Chulapona (Rosario), La finta giardiniera (Sandrina), Old Maid and the Thief (Laetitia). Favorite musical theater roles: Phantom (Christine Daee), Les Miserables (Cosette), Brigadoon (Fiona), The Music Man (Marian), Into the Woods (Cinderella), Side Show (Daisy), Sweeney Todd (Johannah), Fiddler on the Roof (Hodel), Pirates of Penzance (Mabel).
